Hastelloy C276 is a nickel-based superalloy with excellent corrosion resistance, making it particularly suitable for use in a wide range of harsh environments. The material contains a high percentage of molybdenum and chromium, as well as the addition of tungsten, which allows it to show greater resistance in the face of pitting and crevice corrosion. Due to its low carbon content, Hastelloy C276 also performs well during welding, maintaining the corrosion resistance of the welded structure. Hexagonal nuts made with Hastelloy inherit the corresponding properties.

Petroleum and Petrochemical: Particularly suitable for "sour" natural gas containing hydrogen sulfide and chlorides. Pulp and Paper: C276 is the material of choice for bleach vessels and digesters as pulp is bleached with chlorides. Food Processing: Since the alloying elements (Ni, Cr, Mo) are essentially non-toxic to humans, C276 can also be used in the food processing industry.
